V1.1 App Store issue: eSpeak-NG for iOS fails to read the last character of words if preceded or followed by some punctuation marks
Greetings. I don't know how this issue crept into the V1.1 iOS App Store release as it wasn't present in the last beta. However, with some languages like Persian and perhaps other right-to-left ones, if words are preceded or followed by certain punctuation marks, eSpeak-NG for iOS omits the last character and reads stuff mispronounced. For instance, the combination تونن، is incorrectly read as تونَ، or the combination فارسی (ایران) is incorrectly read as فارسی (ایرا . @djphoenix I know you are quite busy these days, but would you please kindly take a look? This has made using eSpeak-NG quite problematic. Thanks.
I'm having the same problem; It's as if the last character of the word next to Punctuations does not exist at all. @djphoenix We'd really appreciate a fix, this causes a lot of problems when using the Persian language with Espeak-Ng
I have no responsibilities on voices and pronunciation. This project is iOS adoption of espeak-ng project. I think this should be redirected to it. I can check this behavior and prepare a more detailed report, though, but it will take time...
Any updates on this issue? This doesn't seem to be an eSpeak issue because the version on MacOS works with no problems, unless the iOS and MacOS versions have been built with different versions of the espeak-ng library?
