I am just a user, not the author, but I would think it would work if you attach it to a video source. Have you tried?

Sorry for the slow reply! This library works with video elements.

I recently reworked the documentation pages and included an example monitoring the audio track of a video element. Hope this helps! Please let me know if this does not work for you.
