Support Ctrl-O in insert mode

Open prasoon2211 opened this issue 2 years ago • 2 comments

Hi,

In insert mode, Ctrl-O allows us to switch to normal mode for one command and immediately switches back to insert mode.

This is a godsend for navigating in insert mode. This doesn't seem to work in obsidian (on macos at least. The quick switcher is bound to command-O, doesn't look like Ctrl-O is bound to anything else).

Is there perhaps some way to implement this behaviour in Obsidian with some kind of remap hack? Forgive my ignorance but I'm not a big vim user 😅

(also please see this issue: It might be that this feature isn't replicated in codemirror at all)

The CodeMirror vim project has implemented this now. Do you have any idea how long that takes to make its way into an Obsidian release?

Obsidian release v1.1.15 includes all the latest upstream changes without this patch :(, maybe the next public build will include it.
