linkedfrom: for only a part of the current note

I have trip planning notes that contain both in-line geolinks and links to geolocation notes; however, it also contains linked to more generic notes that also contain geolocations that I do not wish to include in the current note. There seems to be no good way to do that.

I have tried using "AND lines:X-Y' but not only is the lines: hard to tell, they seem to operate on all of the pages that are included in the linkedfrom:, rather than only including lines from the current note. I don't see a useful application of this feature interaction and would suggest that the order of operations be reversed.

Alternatively it would be useful to be able to use linkedfrom: but only target a particular heading or code block within the current note. That allows for multiple maps to be included in the same document, reduces potential rendering time, and prevents "generic" geolocations from being included in the query.

Won't it help (if I understood you correctly) to mark the more generic geolocations in some way (a tag?) and use ANT NOT? (you may also want to split those more generic notes down to more specific notes, but not sure it suits your use case)

Either way, adding headings granularity to linkedfrom and linkedto is a very good idea.
