FR: Center embedded map on front matter "Location" entry

Open symph0nic opened this issue 1 year ago • 4 comments

What the title says - I have several notes that represent a place, with embedded maps. Would be great if I could set the center of the embedded map to the location in the front matter - at the moment I'm copy-pasting the location info into the mapview block, which is a little cumbersome.

Is there a better way to do this? Or can I just 'reference' the existing location somehow?

Thanks!

There is currently no way to do it, and it's definitely a very nice idea to add.

Any chance on bumping this one up a little bit? It's the one thing that the base map view plugin does 'better' than this plugin. It's crucial to my use case, as I use a lot of embedded maps in my notes.

You can probably do this with the Bases support in Map View 6.0.0, but either way, I'm targeting this for the next major release.
