I've been struggling with this ever since the "new window" functionality came out and it seems to be a tough one. Leaflet has many built-in references to the window and document globals, which I wish it would have taken as parameters. The only ways that I'm seeing to support Obsidian's New Window is to either post a fix to upstream Leaflet (receiving window and document as optional params when constructing a map), or to do a regex-replace as part of bundling it with Rollup.
