Zoom level for every location notes

Can we hava a zoom yml variable so we can make a note for country ? or like a area note, not a fixed lat lng. When we create a note it will simply grub the current zoom level and write it to the note yml

Although it's not exactly the same thing, have you tried the "Copy URL" option (under Presets or in the three-dots menu of the view)? You can save the view including all its settings and put it as a link inside something like a note for a country. I use it for that purpose, and IMHO it's more powerful than just taking the zoom level from YAML because you can optionally include a map source and various filters that could be relevant if that country note has a specific purpose (e.g. planning a trip there).
