FR: Use location lookup modal for inline note too.

I would like to use the same modal where I type the location in but insert it into a note instead.

Can you elaborate why you find it more useful than the inline location auto-complete (the suggestions shown when using 'Add inline geolocation link', which you can map to a key if you want)? It is using the same lookup engine, but supposedly less intrusive to typing than a modal.

I'm not sure what you mean? When I use the inline geolocation it doesn't do anything. It could be conflicting with autocomplete plugins like various complements

When you typed and waited with the cursor inside the brackets for a short moment It should have offered location suggestions just like in the modal. Can you try to disable the auto-complete plugins, restart Obsidian and hopefully pinpoint the one that conflicts?

yes! that works— I get [Nanaimo](geo:49.163877,-123.938122)

Maybe you could do a toggle for using the modal? that would avoid conflict with the 3 autocomplete plugins out there

Or, for documentation, you can note that adding [ to this section of VC will stop it from interfering with map view (but will break it in link completion) it—idk about other plugins:

I'll look into adding the modal as an option for inserting inline locations too :+1:
