Hmm, I was not able to reproduce getting a remap entry using which-key although I only tried halfheartedly. If you could explain how to reproduce it that might help.

See the docstring of `meow-thing-register`. PAIRED-EXPR is suitable for this case. To add this case to string, consider advising/redefining the functions `meow--bounds-of-string`. Can't recommend this though, because the `string` meow...
