The atmospheric PSF run (all else the same) has a separate population of large offsets not seen for the gaussian PSF 
(sorry the units are pixels not arcsec)
Yes, the only difference between these two is replacing the atmosphere with a gaussian
These big offsets are vignetted, they have offsets of a thousand meters.
