"Beat the beast" By Cam Ed

Jane runs with fury. Jane speaks in fire and ice. Jane uses blade, fist and word to crush the beast that ate the earth.

The beast walks on two hooves. He made them of words he split in two. He bans rolls, lifts and stops to cut sound off at the top.

Jane is smart, she has a plan. That is why she ran. If words she makes she can not spill, she'll use more to make him ill.

The beast has horns, he uses them to blast long words from the past. Cut, slice and chop - one count, and all words stop.

Jane smirks, it is time to drive the beast back to his hive.

"Cat, mat, drat and spill! Words for you, made to kill! Bowl, hole, howl and bake! Your horns, your knees, your mind will quake!"

"Stop, worm! You speak in curse! Your words are short, your words are terse! But still they make my heart hurt!"

"Then stop your act to cut the word, so part two can not be heard. Or I will speak until I'm sore. Of dogs, birds, newts and gore to end your word war!"

The beast was struck - a sonic shock! He did shake and quake and rock. Too much, too soon - so much sound! Dealt to him pound by pound.

"Kay!" he said "I will go! Keep your words that beat and grow. Have them back, have them all." Back to hell, the beast did crawl.

So "yay" to Jane and her words so small. She fought, and she had a plan. In short, she said “fuck the man”.

Still a great work, though, and I'm with Jane on that last point! 💯
