💬 Has anyone picked up development? [NO LONGER MAINTAINED]
2 years since the last commit, @X3n0m0rph59's profile looks dead and no one answered this discussion asking the same question. Let's face it: This isn't going to come back anytime soon.
So my question to anyone who stumbles into this thread is:
- Are there good alternatives? (OpenRGB?)
- Has anyone picked up development?
- Is there any interest in a public, community maintained, fork?
I would be really happy if someone decided to pick up the project (or create a fork). Personally I don't have the time currently to take on a project on my own but I am willing to contribute when there's room in the calendar.

I use this project for my ROCCAT ROCCAT Vulcan AIMO keyboard. It worked nice. I will hope someone take over this project.
Great to see people interested. I found OpenRGB which has a wider set of integrations and supported devices. Unless anyone sees something essential supported by eruption and out of scope for OpenRGB, I would rather work on porting some of the eruption devices that aren't available there.
AFAIK, OpenRGB is only for the RGB side od things, not the functioning side, including button mapping. For button mapping i found Piper / libratbag So it would be IMO better to get our devices functioning on Linux before they light up the way we want em. I'd also highly appreciate it if some of you wonderful people can add my Kone Aimo mouse to libratbag.
