5G band cannot work.
Hi all, I have been porting ath10k by referencing ath-201711030500-ath10k-high-latency-silex-sdio recently.
My system brings up the ath10k without any problems. But after I enable the WIFI function, it only can see the band of 2.4Ghz. Band of 5Ghz doesn't show on my screen even I run the wpa_cli command, it still only have 2.4Ghz.
Here is my reference firmware link: https://github.com/kvalo/ath10k-firmware/tree/master/QCA9377/hw1.0
I saw the firmware-sdio-5.bin is untested. I'm not sure if this firmware properly. so I want to ask if anyone have 2.4G and 5G at the same time?
Can you see any 5GHz AP's when you scan (iw dev wlan0 scan)? Are you sure your AP is configured for 5GHz?
@erstrom Thank you for your reply, Mr. Erstorm.
I also cannot see any 5GHz APs when I using the "iw dev wlan0 scan" command...
In fact, I'm not sure if my AP is configured for 5GHz...
I can make sure that 5GHz is configured in the driver's mac.c. My antenna is able to receive 2.4GHz and 5GHz as well. Only one thing that I cannot make sure is the firmware.
I used the firmware from kvalo's GitHub of ath10k and my vendor provided. Both of them only can see the 2.4GHz...My vendor told me, the firmware they gave me is already enabled the 5GHz. So they think the problem comes from my driver. But I don't think so.
Here are my firmware, board.bin and firmware-sdio-5.bin link... https://www.dropbox.com/s/e78pu0hzf9nn0wy/board.bin?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/ufgzlylep7t4nwn/firmware-sdio-5.bin?dl=0
The firmware-sdio-5.bin is generated by qwlan30.bin and otp30.bin. The qwlan30.bin and otp30.bin are also provided by my vendor. Is there any possibility to use my binary files for checking if 5GHz is enabled? Many thanks.
Hi everyone, I captured iw list result, could you please check these items whether it corrected or not. Many thanks... `iw list
