At tenhou_parser.py line 174. This analysis about meld.open seems to be wrong? According to my observation, from_whom is the perspective of the person who initiated the action. Maybe you should check this replay, and this is the network data flow from AI perspective of the above replay.

This means that maybe it should be changed to:

meld.open = meld.from_whom != 0
