Is full page refresh necessary

Using Shout from my phone on the train I regularly lose signal. Most of the time this doesn't matter, I can continue to read what I've got on screen, but from time to time the page spontaneously reloads. Is this necessary? I'd rather get a warning that the connection has been lost rather than losing the ability to continue to read scrollback through what I've already got.

You may find that this issue (and #679) is considerably improved in thelounge/lounge.
