Option to display whois information in current chat window

Currently, when you run a /whois command it displays the information in a new private message tab that you have to go to. In my desktop client, the information is displayed in whatever chat window you ran the command in; I think it would be a useful feature/setting.

I've always had it send it to the server/status buffer, but I think I'd prefer it in the channel I'm already in.

Would it not be nice if it did it in a modal window à la IRCCloud, but also sent it to the server buffer?
