Better Descriptions of Columns?

I tried looking online and in the AD manual. I can not seem to find clear descriptions was the program considers for blockiness and blurring. I look at my images that show these differences but I can not see why these are marked to have a value lower than the other in these categories. Can an explanation of them be provided? Thanks.

Могу написать по-русски. Блочность это разность яркостей на границах 8x8 квадратиков. Максимальна - 100 для шахматной сетки черно-белой. Про размытость ничего не могу сказать. Что-то связано с градиентом и ресайзом изображения.
