Does erlide supports escripts?

Is it possible to create and compile escripts within erlide? If not, is it something that erlide can have support for?

0.24 recognizes files with .escript extension as Erlang files, but we should have it check for the right #! pattern at the top of the file, because most scripts have no extension.

There is no support for running escripts at the moment.
