Is it possible to connect an external 4K monitor?

It would be interesting to see if it is possible to use an external 4K monitor. When I get the chance to try it out, I'll write some update here. Maybe I made a mistake by not choosing an AMD graphics chip in the configuration. I wonder if that will impact the possibility to use an external 4K monitor.

Have you tried ?

Specs say it should support 4K on HDMI https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05903028

I will try this very soon.

So yes it's working perfectly. My main panel is 4K, and I can use a 2nd display up to 4K.

I tried out connecting a 4K monitor to the laptop with a USB-C cable. It worked. By typing the command xrandr I could see that the correct resolution was displayed. I didn't have time checking anything more though.
