Is there any user friendly guide to set it up with Deluge?

No there is no deluge guide; this sounds like a dupe of https://github.com/erickok/transdroid/issues/440 (some helpful info in there though)

Sorry no. Any specific question you have?

I would like to use your application for interacting with my laptop while I am not home, or in my bed. I tried my best to set up with Deluge, but couldn't manage to connect to my machine. I don't even know the right question to ask. That's why I am asking if there is any guide for a twelve-year-old's capabilities. A step-by-step guide would be awesome!

Roughly speaking:

  • Enable the Deluge web interface; set up a password
  • Connect to it from your browser to ensure it is working
  • Set up Transdroid to connect to that web interface
    • When your phone is on the same network you need to use the IP address of your laptop
    • When on a differnet network you neet to use the external IP and set up port forwarding

Set up Transdroid to connect to that web interface

I struggle with this step, isn't Transdroid supposed to connect to the daemon?

Edit: Using Deluge 2 btw.

The standard way is to connect to the web UI, not to the daemon directly. This is for ease of setup, as connecting to the daemon might require extra effort in SSL setup, depending on your config. However, there is also a daemon connector available (that I didn't test myself for a long time, though).

Could you provide an exact set of settings? I've tried everything that made sense to me, but it still does not work.
