Ah this sadly makes sense given pnpm doesn't hoist. I am unsure of the "correct" way to do this given the non hoisting. Do you have ideas?

I tried with the Kodix repo from the OP and it worked on the same drive as /var and failed on my dev drive. Thats your repro I think.
