plotman interactive screen flashing

Open hortocam opened this issue 3 years ago • 3 comments

The flashing of the interactive screen every two seconds is pretty annoying. Any thoughts on how to fix that?

I'm running on Ubuntu 20.04 and I've experienced this with and without byobu (screen / tmux) enabled.

Open nvidia x server and disable OpenGL Settings/Allow Flipping

It doesn't flash for me. I'll need to somehow see it to understand how to fix it. Or at least get a more detailed description of what 'flashing' is.

Eric -

Thanks for the reply. I'm on a Mac. My terminal of choice is Core Shell.

I'm connecting via SSH to another machine on my network.

I tried today from the Mac Terminal and I don't see the flashing there. So, I'll chalk it up to something in the refresh in Core Shell. I've never seen it with any other tools, but it's not likely an issue with Plotman.
