A "list" Tweetdeck column with exclusion words causes entire accounts to appear in the muted list.

Describe the bug Sorry for the tortuous language in the title. Exclusion words in a "list" TweetDeck column incorrectly cause entire accounts to appear in the muted list although they are not actually muted. This might be a verbiage problem rather than a bug.

To Reproduce Create a Twitter list, add some accounts to the list, add the list to a new TweetDeck column. Example:

Add exclusion words to the TweetDeck column. Note that specific tweets have been successfully filtered; not entire accounts. This is the expected behavior.

Check the BetterTweetDeck muted accounts review. Note that accounts are [incorrectly] appearing as muted -- these accounts posted one or more tweets that were filtered. The entire account has not been filtered however:

Expected behavior One of the following: Accounts posting tweets filtered by the exclusion word list should not appear in BetterTDeck's filtered account list. Tweets are being filtered here; not entire accounts. --- or --- Correct the verbiage to express that accounts appearing in this mute list have one or more tweets that were filtered. The current wording leads the user to believe that the scope of the mute extends to entire accounts.

Desktop

  • OS: Windows 11
  • Browser: Tested with both Edge and Chrome
  • Version: Latest

Additional context ~~This issue appears to be exclusive to "list" TweetDeck columns. Exclusion words in other TweetDeck column types do not cause accounts to appear in the muted list.~~ This issue appears to apply to both "list" TweetDeck columns and "user" columns.
