"Share on Tweetdeck" doesn't work when already text in tweet editor

Open WalsGit opened this issue 2 years ago • 1 comments

Describe the bug When there is already a text in the tweet editor of tweetdeck (for instance when we are using the feature to save the previously used hashtag), and we use the share on TweetDeck" contextual menu, it opens the tweet editor but it doesn't replace (or add to) the previous text (I have to erase all the text and re"share on tweetdeck" for it to work).

EDIT: The Issue seems to happen only when the tweet editor contains a text AND is initially closed.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to an article or page I want to share
  2. Right-click on the page and select the "Share on Tweetdeck" menu
  3. The tweetdeck tab opens with it the tweet editor
  4. if there was already some text (like previously used hashtag) in the editor, I see that text (or hashtag(s)) and not the article or page title and like that I wanted to share

Expected behavior The title and link to the article/page I wanted to share should have replaced or be added to the text in the tweet editor

I would like to add that the same issue happens when I use the "re-draft" feature (if there was already a text in the edit box, like when i use the option de remember the hashtags, when I click on redraft for a tweet, the tweet is erased and the box open with the previous hashtags or text, so I lose all the text of the tweet I wanted to redraft and have to re write it all over again).
