Include parallel well pair connections to represent parallel flowpaths between injectors and producers
This issue is related to Issue #171 because we can use flow diagnostic to determine the peaks in the traces on a particular well pair connection. The number of peaks is correlated with the number of flow paths.
This Issue depends on #171 to obtain flow diagnostics calculation. Similar tests can be done to evaluate the performance of this network generation.
Would having two parallel tubes cause issues with the history matching / training?
Let's say that one tube will need to end up with a low permeability, and the other with a high permeability to get the desired response. Either the one or the other tube can end up with a high value, and the other with a low to get the correct answer. And both answers, for all practical purposes, are identical.
How would ES-MDA perform in such a case? Is it a problem, or would one just "drop" in one of the two solutions depending on the prior sampling?
I think it will converge to one of them to solutions as long both flow paths are initialized differently.
But it is relevant to have a parallel flow path if the flow network is simple. For an INSIM type flow network have parallel flow paths will increase drastically the number of parameters.
