"Manage experiments" tool takes time to close

How to reproduce: Add a some experiments by running esmda etc Open the "Manage experiments" tool Close it by clicking the X. Observe that it takes some time to close

Might not be observable on a fast mac but surely observable on a slower desktop RHL machine
