Question about the project
I just discovered this little program. Works great. I saw that you aren't able to support your projects until spring of 2018. Do you have plans for the program when you are able to work on it?
Thanks for a great app.
Sorry for the late answer. I plan to continue to work on the project. I will add a couple of new features and modernize the code (just my progress in learning of C++). BTW, what version of Tremotesf do you use, desktop or Sailfish OS?
I use 1.3.2 on Manjaro Linux. I have tried it on my Android phone also but can't get it to work. I had been using Transmission Remote Gui but there are lots of problems it seems with that app. It really uses a ton of CPU on my box and yours doesn't. What new features are you planning on adding?
Are there plans to be able to do batch changes to torrents, such as change the tracker url on more than one torrent at a time?
I have no current plans for this feature, but I may add it in future. Though batch changes for trackers can be quite tricky, since each torrent has its own list of trackers.
But the app already has each tracker in the sidebar. Would be nice to be able to select a certain tracker and then ctrl A to select all the torrents for that tracker and change the tracker url when needed. There is another app out there that can do this but it is glitchy to say the least. Not the changing of the url, that works fine, just the app itself is slow and unresponsive at times. I like your app because it is very responsive and doesn't hang up on me like the other.
The problem is that list of trackers in the sidebar is built from trackers second-level domain. I.e. if there is 2 torrents, one with tracker "foo.wtf.org" and other with tracker "bar.wtf.org" there will be only one item in sidebar - "wtf.org", but this two torrents have two different trackers. I made it that way because this is how transmission-daemon web interface (and also qBittorrent) does it (and I like it this way too). One way to do it is to allow opening single properties dialog for several torrents, that shows total size, average ratio, etc, including mutual trackers. Right now I'm busy with porting tremotesf's backend to tremotesf-android. I will add this feature in one of the future releases (1.6 I think).
Thanks for the response. I'm interested in tremotesf-android also. Never could get it to work before.
@peaveyman Why? BTW the new version of tremotesf-android won't be on FDroid, because FDroid doesn't support Qt.
I wasn't sure why it wouldn't work. Kept locking up. But it is working now. When do you plan on a new release? I assume it will be on the play store?
On this weekends. It will be on Play Store, but I will also upload APKs on GitHub's releases page (both google and non-google builds. Google builds use Play Services for donations for app to be published in Play Store).
