Support for oEmbed Plus

Why is this feature necessary?

oEmbed Plus is used to show Facebook Embeds and it would be nice to have support for it, as requested here: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/embed-with-gutenberg-editor/

Since I can’t get it to work and development currently seems to be abandoned, at least defer it.
