Data format

Is the current format optimal for all users? Does it need to be standardized further?

From our end, we are happy with date, region, sub_region, cases, death but realize this may not be the most widely applicable format. I think the goal of making all data easily mappable is definitely a good one.

Often seeing adm0 for country, adm1 for first level of subdivision, adm2 and so on for further levels. Also note that some countries, especially in Africa, have different administrative and health related subdivisions, that not necessarily fit into each other. Epidemiological data is most often reported using the health subdivision. @PaulC91 @patrickbarks
