Login does not appear

Hi.

When the external screen is disabled and I lock the iMac by CTRL + SHIFT + EJECT the login won't reappear when returning to the system. Nothing helps... no keystroke no mouse... Main screen keeps black.

In that case I have to hard turn off the iMac with the turn on button.

Can you please check this?

Just checked this again and there is even another scenario:

When the external screen is disabled and the iMac goes after locking it by CTRL + CMD + Q and the main screen goes to sleep after a while it is not possible to get the login either.

Only hard turn off helps even in this case.
