Question: Possible to change the top color?

I see that I can only set the filling color but not the background. I tried setting a color for all the color values present but it didn't change. i think you're basically adding a semi-transparent dark overlay right now to bring desired effect but is there a way to add a different color instead? @eo I went ahead and coded this functionality for my project. And also added a PR because it would be nice to see it included in this library.
