better Invalid Element error

It would be nice if, when an "Invalid Element" error was thrown, the selector for the element was logged for debugging purposes. I just commented on an issue that was opened by somebody who was passing "0" as the jQuery selector, it would've helped if the selector had been logged.

I would love to dive into this (if you wouldn't mind). I just read through contributing.md and I'd like to take this on! :heart:
