Change AreaElement color if outside of a user defined range.

Hi all,

I'm wondering what would be the best option to paint on a different color, let's say red, the sections of an AreaElement outside of a chosen range. I'm plotting historical temperature data and I would need to highlight when the temperature went up/down a certain range.
