You are packaging things for Gentoo? I recommend leaving off blockcanvas and etsdevtools for this purpose.
and on attempting to purge them, we find both of these are still maintained, have recent releases and are listed as hard coded deps in the meta ets.
Eeeer, are they coming or going? Can you or we independently drop them (and or more) from this dep list?
