Description

Neither the .deb nor appimage of the latest version of ente auth v3.0.6 will launch on Ubuntu 24.04.

I'm facing the same issue

Attempting to run ente_auth after installing it from the .deb yields a rather long list of failed asserts:

This also happens when building from source, the issue seems related to flutter/flutter#144873 Downgrading flutter similarly to what has been suggested on other repos (ubuntu/yaru.dart#903) should work as a temporary solution. It seems that it would be enough to rever commit b753c47

As for the appimage, attempting to start it on my distribution (Arch Linux) gives out the following error: ./ente_auth: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libtiff.so.6: undefined symbol: jpeg12_write_raw_data, version LIBJPEG_8.0. This was happening on the previous version too: #1801

The deb version of 3.0.7 works. I can't speak for the appimage as I haven't tried it.

I just updated to the last version (3.0.7) and for me, the problem persists on both: .deb and .AppImage.

The .deb now works correctly, i updated the AUR package to the new version.

The appimage still gives out the same error:

I'm having the same error. When running on the terminal I get:
