Integration with QField?

Any scope for QField integration here? @m-kuhn, ideas?

I think it covers a completely different kind of mobile support. It allows to operate on the field bringing every data needed with you. On the contrary, QgisODK plugin is aimed to manage mass surveys conducted by collectors with no gis skills with simple tablets or phones.

There is probably an overlap in functionality. I don't know exactly how QgisODK works, so I cannot say to which degree, but after all, the concepts are probably quite different (QField ships the QGIS rendering engine, ODK is a complete survey tool as far as I know and I guess it aims at the best possible integration there)

We have however already thrown an eye in the past at ODK. As far as I understand, it integrates external sensors which we want to include at some point as well with the QGIS expression engine and it could be interesting to maintain a common single hardware abstraction layer for this purpose.
