Looks a bit like this feature request never got implemented right? I really appreciate the work on, the design and the features of Music Player GO but I just can't use it because I can't listen to specific genres with it. To me (and I guess to some other people as well) this is a crucial feature. I don't want to think about all the artists and albums that I have but rather just choose a genre that I want to hear right now (similar to the way many people use commercial streaming services). So if this got implemented at some point in the future, it would be great. I'm really looking forward to finally replacing the other few music players that all have their own issues with Music Player GO :)
