I am just waiting for something like borgcube. Are you still working on it? Is it worth a try, or not ready for testing yet?

I still use Borg for backups. I did move away from Borg for archival as it became clear that no improvements in this direction would be acceptable for Thomas.
Re. your second question, well I wrote it as a prototype. So a proper rewrite would be in order. I don't think what's in this repo is everything I have, not sure. There is also the issue that borgcube would, by design, only work with one specific borg release and would need constant updates for each release.
There are some other projects being worked on that target roughly the same niche (backup multiple servers, central management), which will probably work sooner better.
