Group Invite links won't open

Description A clear and concise description of what the bug is.

When I click on 'Join Chat' to join a whatsapp group, browser asks to open in Whatsapp for Linux, and when I click to open it, whatsapp for linux launches but ends up in a white blank page.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Find a whatsapp group invite link in browser
  2. Click on 'Join Chat'
  3. See that the whatsapp-for-linux-launches
  4. See the error (ends up in a blank screen)

Expected behavior

Expected behaviour is fetching the group info and the ability to join the group from the group invite link.
