Multi languages
Hi, this isn't an issue, but an improvement. I think I'm not the only one using different languages at home. I think it would be nice to be able to select the language for google tts (not for alexa obviously cause alexa can't manage multi languages) directly on the form (not in the set up files) Because of that, I can't use multinotify in the automations linked to my wife (I speak french, she speaks spanish). Hope you can consider it. Thanks a lot for your good work.
Hello, thank you for the idea, a pretty cool one, actually. I think you will get surprised to know that even Alexa can speak multilanguage! By using SSML. You can find an example of multiple language even in one single notification here: https://henriksozzi.it/2022/08/notifiche-alexa-in-home-assistant-piu-personali/#Lingue_diverse It's my blog about Home Assistant, it's in Italian but I believe you can understand it by using google translate.
So... yes, I'll think about doing that and it will work for Google as well as for Alexa :)
Hi ! this is a really good news :) About Alexa, I was aware about it, but you know what ? For example the test in your blog, it speaks french but it's not really french (hardly understood), it's an italian person trying to speak french, the prononciation is really bad. I tried it long time ago, and the result is like asking a spanish girl to read french text, in other words, nothing to compare to Google, which is really a spanish talking spanish, and a french talking french. Also, when I tried this long time ago, I also tried the intonations, but unfortunatly, in spanish or french, most of them didn't work (I guess it's more for USA) A big thanks for the good news, and keep up the good work.
Hi again,
I just realised (thanks to your blog which I am reading directly in Italian cause I studied italian at school) that, changing the person by choosing a french or spanish one, then the language is spoken perfectly.
In my tests long time ago, I used the same person (in alexa) to speak different languages, but now I see that if I want to make her speak french, I have to include a french person like in your blog :
