Transparency error[Issue]

• I have made sure that both my config and system packages are up to date
• Linux distro: Arch linux

The issue

I launched the hyprland, everything fine, but when I select the transparent option from the notification bar/something from top, everything looks like weird

i had this exact issue and then the red hyprland bar at the top of my screen complaining about RGB on some line in one of the configs... sorry for not being able to be more specific. it basically bricked my system

Me too, same issue. Even when restoring the colours config to defaults it still happens :(

it doesn't nuke your system. it just fails to generate styles because you might have neglected errors in the installation

I realised this happens when you try to enable transparency or turn off blur with no wallpaper seleted.You must select a wallpaper first thing after a fresh install

How about having the install script create a gray png (or any other color) and setting that as the wallpaper? That should address all the concerns in my opinion.

As for creating the image, you could use imagemagick as such

magick convert -size 1920x1080 xc:#808080 wallpaper.png

Change the xc: to any color

Had the same problem, I think. Solved it by selecting a different wallpaper.

Did you restart afterwards? And what did you change the wallpaper to? Try a couple different images.

It seems like it works depending on the number of colors in the background you select. Or something like that. When I select a dual-tone or mono-tone background, it doesn't work, but when I choose a background with many colors, it works.

Other issues like mono-color wallpaper should have been fixed already. See also #399.
