Toaster doesn't work

I followed the instructions on how to use a toaster and the bread remained untoasted? Please provide a fix, I even went out to buy a 2nd toaster to meet the prerequisites to no avail. Also how does one bouce a toaster lever.

Now I have an excess of burnt rice and no toast. Would not recommend this fix, user is likely a troll

Also how does one bouce a toaster lever. Jiggle the lever up and down to try to bouce the toast out of the toaster
