Memory Card Management
With Memory Card emulation being a feature it would be useful to have some management tools with them for ease of use. The features I suggest implementing would be:
-> Creating virtual Memory Cards by specifying size and region and giving them names -> Assigning which virtual Memory Card to use in which slot on a per-game basis -> Copy/Move/Delete savefiles between virtual and real Memory Cards -> Import/Export savefiles as .gci-files -> Create raw copies of virtual and real Memory Cards -> Delete virtual Memory Cards -> Format Memory Cards
While all of this seems great to me, it may be less realistic than some of the piecemeal suggestions that have been made--most notably #431 (which would allow copying between real and virtual cards). See also #547 and #491 -- which, together, would allow users to backup their emulated memory cards (albeit complete/raw) on Swiss itself (i.e. without ejecting the SD card and bringing to a computer).
- Creating multiple memory cards seems like something users could manage themselves (if given the file manipulation utilities).
- Per-game memory cards have also been requested in #477 .
- Importing/exporting specific GCI files would be swell--right now it seems GCMM on the Wii is the only option for that?
