Multiple Partition support

Open pudrik opened this issue 5 years ago • 4 comments

Currently software only reads the 1 partition on the SD card, Reason for having multiple is to have the first less then 2GB to add support for legacy devices / software as 2GB cards or less are harder and harder to find.

If there are more then 1 partition Swiss fails to read even the first one. (Probably a bug)

Multiple partitions does not help with overcoming SD protocol support limitations in legacy software.

SDHC host devices are required to accept older SD cards.[44] However, older host devices do not recognize SDHC or SDXC memory cards, although some devices can do so through a firmware upgrade.

Well actually the limit itself is the size as most cards are backward compatible, hence make 1 partition with small enough size and it will work. (2GB)
