Mame games won't work

I've got Pandora Saga plus DX 2. I've installed Pandory Tool 1.14 for DX and it's working well but I can't add any of the MAME games. I have roms for 0.78 But when I create a folder and put roms in a folder pandory_roms/mame78 my system doesn't see them. When I put them on roms_mame2003 then system see them but I can't launch them. Maybe You have some ideas what else can i do?

I've installed Pandory Tool v 2.1 in my Pandora Box Saga Plus DX2 and I have the same problem as Tygrys747. Does anyone have any clues? Any help sill be vera appreciated.

Hey there. Sorry for the delay. First thing to mention, is that the Pandora Box DX clones that have 20000 games (not the original DX 3000 or DX Special 5000) may have issues when adding games. They stupidly hacked and maxed out the games menu, causing problems when adding your own games. There are also versions where you might be able to add your own games, but the correct games filename is not displayed. Absolutely not ideal.

So, adding games to a Pandora Box w/ Pandory DX installed: Once you install PandoryDX to the microsd, it creates the pandory rom folders for you. Simply paste in the rom files into those folders and it should detect and appear in your menu. - Any folders you create manually will not work. MAME games work differently. The Pandora box DX checks the files in the roms_mame2003 folder with an inbuilt MAME games list. If it's not on that list, it won't display. If it's on the list and already on the DX at stock, it also might not display.

If the game refuses to start, it may need bios files (check arcadeitalia mame website), or not be the correct mame 0.78 rom file. You can also change the emulator core by editing the pandory.xml file to core=mame2003_plus on the game that refuses to load. This may work. Another reason why it refuses to work may be, it's simply a game that's too much for the DX to handle. This usually applies to 3D arcade games like Tekken that have absolutely no chance of running on the DX. unless it's the Playstation 1 port. More difficult to run arcade games and later titles, like the CAVE games also land under this umbrella.
