Hello, First of all thanks for all the work that went into the project.

My Issue: I'm using a PS4 Controller via USB (With Back attachment) and DS4Windows at Version 3.3.3. Everything is on default.

Unfortunately the game is pretty much unplayable for me with controller due to many issues. I cant map accelerate (button) and breaking to R2 nor R2 or any other button. Menu is mapped by default on R3, back von R2. Everythin is messed up.

Is this a unique problem? Is mapping keys to buttons via an external program my only option?

I downloaded Outrun 2006 from MyAbondoneWare (ISO) and installed it. Extracted Outrun2006Tweaks the files. VC Redist x86 is already installed. Its a fresh install. I did not customize any setting

Kind Regards

I just tested with my DS4 and I had the same issue. Probably the mapping is different but I found a work around: Use Steam as a launcher.

On "Steam Settings" > "Controller" > "PlayStation Controller Support" must be ENABLED

And then add the OR2006C2C.exe to your Steam Library with "Add a Game" > "Add a Non-Steam Game..."

Then you can run the game like a regular Steam game but the gamepad now works fine =)

I also tried remapping with X360CE with no luck... there seems to be compatibility issue with DS4

Further testing now with a DualSense (PS5 controller): same issue, same work around with Stream

Also in both cases vibration is always on full strength, changing VibrationStrength doesn't affect it.

HERE IS THE FIX!

On DS4 Settings enable "Hide DS4 Controller"
