Can I use the logfile hightlighter on vs code task output?

I'm not sure which panel you're referring to, but maybe it would help to have a look at the discussion in #104?

I meant for the terminal task output window. But I dont think this is possible.

The reason for me asking is that the output I see from a build system Im using doing do any ASCII coloring making it rather hard to read.

Would be nice if VS Code could color file paths and such and highlight keywords like "Warning" or "Error".

I would also like to see support for ASCII colors in the output window as well however (as emitted by the program output being forwarded into it)

Extensions like Cmake tools by Microsoft still use the Output window - and afaik Cmake does emit colored output, but cant be forwared through the output window.
