protonmail/mutt via hydroxide: Failing to attach pdf with current setting in mutt

when trying to attach a pdf on my local machine via mutt, i get an error when pressing sending.

is this normal? and is this related to my own set up in muttrc or hydroxide related?

also fails with simple .txt file attachment, not specific to pdf.
