I've refactored your code to keep both sides separate here: https://github.com/OpenRailAssociation/osrd/compare/emr/nge-save-node I've tried to keep this as close as possible to your code, only moving code around but otherwise not...
I don't think I'd want to add D-Bus stuff to swaylock itself. A wrapper script could take care of the D-Bus stuff, I think.
