GetIT does not play MOD files

Open micv2 opened this issue 1 year ago • 3 comments

Hello, I saw a YT video where MOD files were played directly in GetIT. It doesn't work for me (n-go). I used an NXMOD player that is in my DOT folder. Maybe you can help me. Thanks.

Also interesting, but GetIT still doesn't play the MODs. From the browser (after HDMI update) it works now.

Hi - I am aware of the HDMI issue, and is due to a bug in the mode detection. Now NXMOD is a real bugger to build because the modplayer itself has no regard for the OS whatsoever and therefore must be "ringfenced" with the OS state being perfectly preserved pre- and post-running NXMOD. I have to admit that I don't quite remember the build steps (it was all so obvious at the time) and I do intend to look at the problem, but currently it's just not been high on my “must fix” list. I've recently had to spend an inordinate amount of time rebuilding and securing my website (I could be a certified Linux security expert by now) - but when I am done, I will try to have a look.
